Factory Estates is a Manchester based residential development company established in 2013 by Chris Bowman, Naushad Islam & John Haynes. By 2020, we had developed in excess of 700 dwellings in the Manchester region with a value in excess of £140m in a variety of schemes. Including high value market leading houses, renovated former offices and brand new large apartment blocks.
Our pragmatic and diligent approach to development has ensured the delivery of dwellings of high quality, whilst providing excellent value for money.

Chris is a qualified surveyor (MRICS) with over 15 years experience in the property industry. He has delivered family housing for Bellway Homes Ltd, supermarkets for Tescos / Morrisons and student accommodation. As the driving force behind Factory Estates, Chris keeps the team in check and co-ordinates the projects from inception to post completion. Occasionally sarcastic.
Qualified as an architect in 1997, RRBA. Now a chartered architect. Over 20 years experience in residential and commercial property development. Has been involved with several successful businesses, including Factory Estates. Roles include commercial and finance director.
Naushad is a fully qualified Chartered Architect of over 20 years and a fully paid up member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
He has a career spanning all sectors of the Construction Industry, including Education (Schools, Further and Higher), Retail, Commercial, and Residential and is and award-winning architect in the Hotel sector.
He is a founding director and co-owner of Factory Estates and is responsible for overseeing all the design and technical detailing of the projects. The unofficial hospitality co-ordinator.
