It adjacent to the Shudehill Bus Interchange as well as The Arndale. The building on the site has been vacant for a number of years and is in a poor state of repair.

The site was acquired by Factory Estates & Salboy in 2016 with planning submission for a hotel scheme in April 2017. Building work is due to commence as soon as Planning Approval is obtained.
