The Northern Quarter, City Centre Manchester

New build 183 apartments on the site bounded by Tib St, Church Street, Joiner Street and Bridgwater Place. The site is adjacent to Piccadilly Gardens in the centre of Manchester on a site currently used as surface parking operated by NCP.

The site was acquired by Factory Estates and its JV Partners, Salboy, in 2016. It has a unique position of being an the border of the trendy Northern Quarter as well as the shopping areas of the city, the Arndale Centre being 1 minutes’ walk away. Piccadilly Station is 5 minutes’ walk and Victoria Station a further 5 minutes in the opposite direction.

The site and building has been identified as the gateway to the Northern Quarter with its slew of independent creative companies, bars and nightlife. Planning Approval was obtained in 2017 for a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments with the Ground Floor being made available for retail or commercial offers. The building has been designed to fit seamlessly into the existing urban fabric and be a part of the Northern Quarter as soon as it is completed.

Building work is due to start in mid-2017 and due for completion in late 2018.

The contract value is £25M
