A new build apartment scheme in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Located next to the iconic Affleck’s Palace on Tib Street, the site was the last remaining large undeveloped plot in the Northern Quarter. Together with joint venture partners Salboy, we acquired the site in 2016 under the Tibst Ltd vehicle and subsequently created 183 one, two and three bedroom luxury apartments above 14500sqft of new commercial space.

A new build apartment scheme in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Located next to the iconic Affleck’s Palace on Tib Street, the site was the last remaining large undeveloped plot in the Northern Quarter. Together with joint venture partners Salboy, we acquired the site in 2016 under the Tibst Ltd vehicle and subsequently created 183 one, two and three bedroom luxury apartments above 14500sqft of new commercial space. The development reaches 8 storeys in height and designed to reflect the red brick warehouse heritage of the surrounding location. Its sharp angled ‘V’ projection at the junction of Tib Street and Church Street is a particular highlight.The development was completed in early 2020 having to overcome a number of significant challenges.”The design of the building was sympathetic to the vernacular of the Northern Quarter area and has been well received by local residents and the wider Architectural community.The building also includes a series of roof gardens and integrated amenity spaces for the comfort of the residents and to add to the visual appeal of the development. Wherever possible, the construction of the building utilised locally sourced materials and labour and modern methods of construction.

The building has been designed to fit seamlessly into the existing urban fabric and be a part of the Northern Quarter as soon as it is completed.
